Digistore24 vs CopeCart: which network should sell your offer?

Pick Digistore24 if you depend on outside affiliates and paid traffic, sell to buyers in the US and the EU, and want the lower starting fee of 2.9% + $1 per sale; pick CopeCart if you sell a high-ticket digital, course or coaching offer where buy-now-pay-later, collections and phone closing matter more than a large affiliate pool, and you can live with 4.9% + €1 in the EU and an 80/20 payout split.

  • Digistore24. Best for Vendors selling into the US and EU who want tax and VAT handled with no setup or monthly fee.

Side by side

Digistore24

Best for
Vendors selling into the US and EU who want tax and VAT handled with no setup or monthly fee
Vendor fees
No setup or monthly fee. Transaction fee starting at 2.9% + $1 per sale; the vendor says the final rate may vary by product type, traffic source and sales volume. Payout fees $2.50 ACH, $40 international wire.
The catch
The headline rate is a floor, not a quote. A nutra offer on paid traffic should expect to negotiate its real rate, and that number is not public.

CopeCart

Best for
Digital, course and coaching sellers who want EU tax handled, buy-now-pay-later, collections and phone-close tooling in one checkout
Vendor fees
EU: 4.9% of gross + €1 per sale, no monthly fee; card orders 6.9% + €1 from 31 Oct 2026. Americas help example: 10% of net + $1.
The catch
Which CopeCart you sign with decides your fee. The EU list rate, the Americas billing example and the homepage's early-adopter rate are three different numbers, so get yours in writing before you price the funnel.

CopeCart vs Digistore24: what the choice turns on for a seller

Both platforms sit between you and your buyer as merchant of record: they run the checkout, charge the card, deal with sales tax or VAT, and pay you and your affiliates out of what they collected. So the shortlist is real, and the deciding questions are narrower than on most network comparisons. What does each one take per sale in the region you sell from? How long does the money take to reach you? And is your growth going to come from affiliates who find you in a marketplace, or from your own traffic and sales calls?

Digistore24 leads with reach. Its pricing page promises instant access to more than 125,000 affiliates and 10,000 offers, full merchant-of-record coverage in the EU and the US, and tax and VAT remittance in 180 countries. CopeCart started in Germany and now sells an English product through CopeCart Americas. Its homepage describes infrastructure for high-ticket, high-margin digital businesses, built around nine payment methods, buy-now-pay-later plans, professional collections and a Deal Closer for sales made over the phone.

Fees and payout rules on this page come from each company's own pricing page and help center, read on 12 October 2026. We did not sell a product through either platform; how we research network fees and payouts explains the method.

Two cells need a sentence. Digistore24's 2.9% + $1 is where its pricing starts; its own page says the final rate may vary by product type, traffic source and sales volume, so a supplement offer on cold paid traffic should expect a quote above the floor. CopeCart's 4.9% + €1 applies to vendors on its EU entity and is charged on the gross sale. The tax row reflects the English site: CopeCart Americas collects US sales tax in every state automatically and adds EU VAT and UAE tax compliance on request.

Digistore24: strengths and drawbacks

What works

  • No setup, activation or monthly fee; transaction fee starts at 2.9% + $1
  • Full merchant of record in the EU and US, with sales tax and VAT handled in 180 countries
  • Checkout pages, order bumps, one-click upsells and split testing built in
  • Weekly payouts, up to four a month, and a 180-day affiliate cookie

What to watch

  • The 2.9% + $1 is a starting rate: the final rate depends on product type, traffic source and volume, so you only know your fee once you apply
  • Payout fees of $2.50 per ACH payment and $40 per international wire

CopeCart: strengths and drawbacks

What works

  • Published EU rate of 4.9% of the gross sale + €1, with no monthly or annual platform fee
  • Reseller (merchant of record) model with monthly credit notes; US sales tax collected automatically, EU VAT and UAE tax on request
  • Nine payment methods, buy-now-pay-later, professional collections and a Deal Closer for sales made by phone
  • An in-account marketplace where affiliates search offers by keyword, commission and income level

What to watch

  • EU card orders move to 6.9% + €1 from 31 October 2026, well above Digistore24's starting rate
  • Payouts arrive in two parts: 80% fourteen days after the sale and the last 20% after forty days
  • The Americas entity's own billing example uses 10% of the net amount + $1; the 2.9% + $1 on the English homepage is an early-adopter rate for sellers who qualify
  • No published affiliate count, and the marketplace is weighted toward German-speaking sellers

Pricing compared on a 97 sale

Neither platform charges a setup or monthly fee, so the per-sale rate is the whole platform cost before payouts. Here is what each published rate takes from a single 97 sale, before any affiliate commission.

RateFee on 97
Digistore24, starting rate$3.81
CopeCart EU€5.75
CopeCart EU, card, from 31 Oct€7.69
CopeCart Americas example$10.70

The last row needs care. CopeCart's Americas billing article illustrates its fee as 10% of the net amount after tax plus $1, so the $10.70 assumes $97 is the net amount. Its English homepage, meanwhile, advertises 2.9% + $1 for early adopters who qualify. That is a promotional rate you have to be accepted for, and we would not price a funnel on it until it is in your contract.

On the EU side, CopeCart's fee article sets the list rate at 4.9% + €1 and adds a 2% surcharge on new credit-card orders from 31 October 2026, which makes card payments 6.9% + €1. Buyers paying by other methods stay on the base rate, so the mix of payment methods in your checkout now changes your margin.

Digistore24 adds payout fees that CopeCart's fee article does not list: $2.50 per ACH payment and $40 per international wire. At four payouts a month by ACH that is $10, which only matters to a seller doing a handful of sales. The Digistore24 pricing breakdown and the CopeCart pricing page list each fee in full.

Affiliates, marketplace and partner splits

If outside affiliates are the plan, Digistore24 has the published scale. 125,000 affiliates, a 180-day cookie and an open marketplace are what a direct-response vendor on paid traffic is paying for, and its own comparison table sets it against ClickBank rather than against CopeCart. Our ClickBank vs Digistore24 comparison covers that choice.

CopeCart runs a marketplace inside the account where vendors list products and affiliates search by keyword, commission and income level. It does not publish how many affiliates use it, and its reputation was built among German-speaking course and coaching sellers. Treat it as a way for partners you already know to find and promote your offer, and plan your own recruiting.

Payouts, holds and cash flow

This is where the two differ most for a seller who reinvests ad spend. Digistore24 pays weekly, up to four times a month. CopeCart's reseller payout rules release 80% of your earnings fourteen days after a successful sale and the remaining 20% forty days after it, with payouts started on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th of each month according to the interval you choose. A sale on the first of the month is fully paid out somewhere in the second week of the following month.

CopeCart also issues monthly credit notes under its reseller model, which keeps the bookkeeping clean for an EU business, and it offers an optional Fast Payout service whose terms are in its help center. For a vendor buying traffic daily, the 20% held for forty days is working capital you have already spent on ads, so model it before you switch.

If neither fits, the Digistore24 alternatives and CopeCart alternatives pages sort the other networks by the problem each one solves.

Our pick for most vendors

Digistore24

The low-fee merchant of record for vendors who sell into both the US and the EU and want VAT and sales tax filed for them, paying only when a sale goes through.

Frequently asked questions

Is CopeCart cheaper than Digistore24?
On published rates, no. Digistore24 starts at 2.9% + $1 per sale and CopeCart's EU list rate is 4.9% + €1, rising to 6.9% + €1 on new card orders from 31 October 2026. Digistore24's final rate depends on your product type, traffic source and volume, and CopeCart offers 2.9% + $1 to early adopters who qualify, so the real comparison is between the two quotes you get.
Can I sell the same offer on Digistore24 and CopeCart?
You can hold accounts on both, but each one acts as merchant of record and runs its own checkout, refunds and tax. Most sellers keep one platform per offer so refunds, chargebacks and affiliate tracking live in one place.
Which has more affiliates?
Digistore24 publishes a figure of more than 125,000 affiliates and 10,000 offers. CopeCart runs a marketplace inside the account but does not publish an affiliate count, so the only number you can compare is Digistore24's own.
Does CopeCart work for US sellers?
CopeCart Americas sells a merchant-of-record checkout that collects and remits sales tax in every US state. Its billing example uses 10% of the net amount plus $1 per transaction, and the English homepage offers 2.9% + $1 to early adopters who qualify. Whether a particular product category is accepted is a question for its sales team.
How fast do I get paid?
Digistore24 pays weekly, up to four times a month, with a $2.50 ACH or $40 international wire fee per payout. CopeCart EU pays 80% of earnings fourteen days after the sale and 20% after forty days, on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th of the month.
